Agent Orange and Bluewater Sailors: VA has yet to publish its official definition of ā€œinland waterway.ā€ However, the BVAā€™s decision indicates that VA still refuses to accept Vietnam harbors as inland waterways, ignoring a Veterans Court order to the contrary.

On Thursday, September 10th at 3 PM EDT,Ā Commander John Wells, Esq., Executive Director, Military-Veterans Advocacy, Inc. and Matthew Hill will cover what has and hasnā€™t changed in the Brown Water/Blue Water Debate. In this webinar, you will learn:
  • Why you still need to pay attention, even if your ship was in a harbor or bay.Ā
  • What to take away from the Gray decision.Ā
  • What evidence to use for your case.Ā
  • Actions to be taken politically.

Please submit your questions for Mr. Wells and Mr. Hill on the registration form.

In November 1967 l was sent to pick up repair parts at warehouse’s in De Nang Vietnam. I was on shore all day waiting on the landing craft to take me back to the ship. I have many medical problems and I have had my VA claim since April 2013. I have been denied twice.

I have recently started doing research for my husband concerning the Blue Water. I missed your webinar yesterday & would love have the information emailed to me or if possible to listen to webinar. He served in Vietnam and has several of the illnesses associated with Agent Orange and is on dialysis. Any info you can provide will be helpful. We have an appt next week with VA Regional office for help.
    Thank you, Cathy Hathcoat

How do I register for and access the webinar?
My husband was Blue water Navy doing electrical repairs on planes on various carriers. As a ‘gypsy’ he was shuttled by plane to the different carriers.I know he flew in and out of DaNang, but have no proof (yet).
He died from tongue cancer (and never had a single puff of tobacco). His non-Hodgkins lymphoma had also recurred. He had a surgical cure from a kidney cancer. I need to learn more as I attempt to apply for agent orange benefits.
