Who’s on the Wall: Vietnam veteran is Purple Heart recipient

Agent Orange Legacy ~ Children of Vietnam Veterans

Judy and their son Keith said that Elliott never talked much about what he did in Vietnam until about five or six years before he passed away in June 2010. Then he started sharing stories about the other soldiers and about the things that happened in Vietnam.

Keith recalled one story that his dad shared involving a Captain that was from the northern states. Elliott had went ahead to scout an area when his captain called him to ask him where he was. Elliott responded that he was “down in the hollow.” His captain had to ask again and got the same answer. His captain eventually figured out that a hollow was a valley and made a remark about that.http://www.starhq.com/2012/01/16/whos-on-the-wall-vietnam-veteran-is-purple-heart-recipient/In Vietnam, Elliott was stationed in the towns and villages of An Loc, Bien Hoa, Di An, Lai Khe, Long Binh, Phu Loi, Phuoc Vinh, Quan Loi, Saigon and Tan Son Nhut.
